Prawn Fry

Ingredients:

Prawns – 1/2kg cleaned (you can leave the tail on for a better look)

Ginger garlic paste – 1 teaspoon

Green chilly – 2 (finely chopped)

Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon

Chilly powder – 1 teaspoon

Cumin powder – 1/4 teaspoon

Mustard powder – 1/2 teaspoon

Pepper powder – 1/2 teaspoon

Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon

Vinegar – 2 tablespoons

Curry leaves – 1 sprig (finely chopped)

Oil – 4 tablespoons

Salt – 1 teaspoon

How to:

In a bowl mix the coriander powder, chilly powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder,mustard powder, vinegar, chopped curry leaves and salt and keep aside. This is your masala.

Wash and drain the prawns and marinate with the prepared masala.

Keep it in the fridge for 1/2 an hour.

In a wide pan pour four tablespoons of oil.

Add the marinated prawns and cook uncovered till the water from the prawns are absorbed. (this might take 15 minutes)

Keep stirring, until the masala gets fried and coats the prawns.

Add the chopped green chillies and simmer for 5 minutes.(till the oil separates)

Remove from flame.

Serve hot with rice.
